My wife and I are locals. We went to Ted Peters tonight. The waiter, a tall, heavy blonde man was rude. The meal was just "all right" and whoever thinks their German potato salad is great has not has good German potato salad. And it was microwaved. I was so glad to leave, and believe me, we won't be going back there. There are so many Good places to dine in Pinellas county. And the constant traffic on Pasadena Ave. is loud and smelly. |

I drove by about 3 years ago in town visiting. The place was packed! I didn't get a chance to stop then so I made sure to stop my last visit. Everyone was telling me that they had a fire but I was happy to hear they fixed it and are reopened. It was the best fish I had ever had. Well worth the trip!
Good Luck and Congratulations!

I hate to report that Ted Peters is currently out of commission. They experienced a fire that destroyed the small smokehouse building next to the restaurant. Latest word is that they are not certain if they will rebuild and stay in business.
Like the reviews above, I grew up in St. Pete and have loved their food for a great many years. Hopefully, they'll come back. |

I grew up in St. Petersburg and moved out of state in 1978. I haven't found any smoked fish houses locally. Does Ted Peters ship out of state?
The smoked mullet/mackeral, hamburgers and German Potato Salad was the best I've ever tasted!!! |

Everyone visiting Greater St. Petersburg should visit Ted Peter's smoke house to enjoy one of the world's best prepared smoked fish. Either take out or eating-in, served with German potato salad is the best you will find. |
