Captain D's use to be my favorite restaurant. I visited weeks ago, and the workers were very nasty. They were cursing and calling each other names that should not be said in public. There performance has dropped quickly. The food is not being cooked right. When you tell them so, they want to get all mad and talk to you any kind of way. |

This is a fast food restaurant that slightly outperforms its competitors -- and not that reliably. If you like frozen, prebattered fish portions dripping with grease and lord knows what else, Captain D is your man. If he can't do it, any other restaurant in this city can. |

I've been going to Captain D's for years. The staff at the Baton Rouge Captain D's on Greenwell Springs Road are wonderful. They remember my name and what I like to order. I love the fish and chips. Especially the little cracklins (batter droppings) that come with each platter. |
