By far one of my best dining experiences in quite a long time.
We had a romantic table in the corner of the room. This a great place to celebrate your anniversary or bring that special date, candle light and good jazz. The room is intimate but not stuffy.
We started with the pumpkin ravioli entrée which we split; it was outstanding, as was my duck and my wife's tenderloin, both cooked perfectly. The wine list is small but had good variety and great values. The server was knowledgeable but not bothersome; the chef even came over to our table just to check how our evening was going.
Diner came to about $100.00 for the two of us - that included a bottle of wine three courses each, tip and tax. We were stuffed.
There are comparable restaurants in the city at double the price and half the portion size. This is a great find. Try the bread pudding; you won't be disappointed. |

Food was exciting and flavorful. I couldn't choose what to eat. Quail Stuffed with duck, fried clams, Tenderloin with a wild mushroom tart was to die for. Great wine list too, service was spot on. Housed in the old train station it reminded me of a grotto in Italy cozy and warm. Locals know it well, tough to get in on Fridays and Saturdays, but no problem during the week.. The food was out of this world, the staff was super attentive, the atmosphere was upbeat, lots of smiles. Good choice to take a date. |
