This review makes me sad to write. Austin's is close to my home, it's really beautiful inside, the menu is interesting--and the food sucks. Now, understand that I went twice and haven't been there in six months, so perhaps things have changed.
Yeah, right, and I grew my hair back, too.
Austin's is a pretender. They WANT to be a nice restaurant, they WANT to serve good food, they WANT to have professional service...and, heck, one out of three ain't bad--apparently.
It IS a nice restaurant. Really decorated well, quality materials, blah blah blah. But, my lord, the food the food the food...HEY, YOU, thinking about starting a restaurant??? Here's a little hint: IT'S ALL ABOUT THE FREAKING FOOD!!!!!
