| The Wreck Of The Richard & Charlene |
843-854-0042 |
|
 |
Named correctly, The Wreck is located in an old building which doesn't even have the name posted outside.
The restaurant serves traditional dishes like boiled peanuts, fried shrimp, shrimp pilaf, deviled crab, and oyster platters in a shabby, candlelighted screened-in porch and small dining area.
Credit cards are not accepted.

We went to "The Wreck" on the advice of a friend and found it to be a great experience. The food was great, service was good and we even met the owner. We were leaving to find an ATM when we found that the restaurant didn't take credit cards. The owner stopped us and told us go ahead and eat and just mail him a check when we got home (we live in Florida). The ambiance is great. Don't miss this place if you get a chance. |

The seafood is excellent - fresh and delicious. We love the she crab soup and warm key lime bread pudding as well. This place has a charm that is delightful year round. Most locals and visitors know about the spring-summer-fall draw, but for a romantic, cozy evening we love to come here on a cold winter night when the fireplaces are burning and the light is low. |

The best fried shrimp I have ever had!! Great food and fun! Makes the drive from South Florida worth it everytime. Try it and you won't be disappointed. |
