A Seafood Steak house with a Cajun flair. Unique dishes such as Fried Pickles, N'Awlins Crab Cakes, Roasted Sesame Blue Marlin Salad, Seafood Newburg in a Puff Pastry, Fresh Lobster, Bourban Street Filet, Bayou Duck with Fruit Salsa, etc. Nice, quiet and relaxed setting with a piano man playing on Fri and Sat nights. Pretty patio area with fish pond and small waterfall nearby. Extensive Wine list and a separate bar area. Dish prices range from $7.95 to $29.00.

Food mostly good, excellent crab cakes, bread pudding bad, chocolate cake good, snapper fishy taste, fried fish & shrimp very good, cheap wine bad (my fault), waited on our waiter for 20 min. until we (4 of us) complained, & were told that we were seated at a "closed" section by a new person. They gave us appetizers free; nice. Our waitress was very attentive after that, but she forgot to bring more bread that we had asked for and I ran out of water. Drinks were slow coming; they could have made more $$$. |

Freda's combines a sophisticated atmosphere with friendly service and a variety of dishes, all without the pretentiousness of downtown eateries. Beautiful bar area and patio area, while the dining room is quaint and comfortable. |

Well my name is Jean Stephens..I am a chef from the bay area and fine dinning is not in Freda's name. I was not only disapointed in the lack of service quality but in the food as well. I had the spicy cajun ribeye with shrimp and the bread pudding for dessert. Both were not even close to being worth what I paid..and the fact it took 45 min for some fried pickles "which were good" is outlandish. I feel there is a lack of leadership there as I watched servers stand around and bs insteed of tending to there table. I had no manager presence and I never got my ceasar salad. Being a chef and living the life I know when a ship has no captain. I do not think I will return and I hope you all get it together cause the building is esquisite. Thank You for your time. Chef Stephens. |
