This is an update. Ordered two cheeseburgers. Neither one was prepared as ordered, and it takes
some doing to simultaneously screw up both a well done and a medium rare. Buns & cheese still
had refrigerator chill. These may seem like quibbles, but a $15 burger ought to be perfect.
Fuddrukker's does it right for $5. Terrific side salad. A most elegant setting without being
pretentious. Top drawer service. |

Widely and correctly considered one the best restaurants in Utah. It never fails to both please and disappoint.
With obvious care and attention lavished on the plate in the kitchen, why are so many entrees overcooked? We once had Key Lime pie both here and at Jean-Louis Motecott's with 3 days of each other [now chef at the nearby Goldner Hirsh] Inn on the Creek. Glitretind's was pedestrian, Jean-Louis' was one of the best desserts we ever had anywhere, and that includes a lot of meals in France and tons of Austrian pastries. |
